Break-Up's aren't always ugly...
There's typically not a day that goes by that we don't sit down and work on writing. Sometimes we write full songs, sometimes half of a song, and sometimes we write something that immediately goes in the trash. However, last night was one of those nights that just clicked and we're liking what we have so far.
Last night we found ourselves discussing break-ups. We talked about our personal experiences and ones we've witnessed. Through that discussion we got hung up on those types of break-ups where it's not really anyone's fault. No one did anyone wrong. There's no hard feelings. Love still remains. The best of intentions are still present. But sometimes, people just aren't meant to be.
Have you ever experienced that type of break-up? Where it's more of a realization, for both individuals, in that you find yourselves saying "the only thing wrong with you, is me." Our title for this song actually derives from this thought: "There Ain't Nothin' Wrong with You, But Me". There's so much beauty, so much maturity, so much growth in this type of situation. It reflects both people having enough love and respect for each other, that they are able to recognize that their futures lie on different paths. This is a type of love that we feel sometimes doesn't get enough attention in music these days.
We just wanted to give you an inside look at some of our ongoings. This is where we were last night in our writing. Do you have similar experiences to this type of break-up? Feel free to message us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. and tell us your stories. We'd love to hear them.
